For the first time in over a decade, we will be adding wheel-to-wheel racing as a component of a Skip Barber Racing School program with the addition of a Sprint Race. Multiple on-track sessions means track time will match that of a professional race event. This program also includes custom seat inserts and simulator-based training through our partners at Simcraft.

The GTX Car

Built by GMS Race Cars, the GTX is a purpose-built race car engineered to deliver an authentic, high-performance stock car experience.


At its heart is a 396-cubic-inch Ilmor V8 producing 700 horsepower, paired with a four-speed, sequential H-pattern transmission. Holley EFI manages the fuel-injected powerplant, while a large Holley digital dashboard gives drivers clear, real-time performance data. Full coil-over suspension and powerful four-piston brakes complete a package designed for speed, control, and confidence on track.


Rounding out the GTX car is the Sentinel data and video system, which livestreams full-HD video and real-time telemetry directly to the pit box. Sentinel’s cloud-based platform combines GPS, lap data, and synchronized video to give instructors immediate insight into every lap. This allows for precise, data-driven coaching designed to improve your technique and maximize your performance behind the wheel.


GTX cars have been driven by some of North America’s most accomplished racers, including Tony Stewart, Josef Newgarden, Kyle Busch, Hélio Castroneves, and many more.
